Encouragement for the Journey: July

Five days into August and i am still very much reflective on God's mercies, goodness, grace and the hope given to me through him in the month of July. Truth be told there were many tears shed in the month of July. Feeling of heartbreak, hopelessness, fear, defeat and isolation plagued me throughout most of the month. Through reading Gods word, inspirational quotes, and christian blog posts, God has taught me that he alone is my sustainer, and that he alone can provide for my needs. These needs, not superficial in nature are ones we often neglect to seek God face for, or relay on others to do what only He can. These are our need for love, feeling of peace, security, and most of all strength are freely provided through Christ himself, all we need is to ask.

Psalm 31:24 says, " Be strong and take heart all you who hope in the Lord". I believe that Christ is straightening me in this season and my hope in what he can do in me is growing.. No area in my life is without the need for renewal, and no area is left unturned by God's mighty power. My heart is being renewed, my soul refreshed. God's love is beyond what we can imagine, and because he loves us he will never stop chasing after us. I hope that these text that drew me in closer to the arms of christ, encourages you to seek a deeper relationship with him.
