The Oily Skin Girls Guide To Make-up

As an oily skin girl i have spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the perfect make-up products to neutralize my oily skin. At this point i am happy to say that i have found my perfect make-up combination. If you are someone like me who does not like to pile on the products but want a natural lasting finish, keep reading to find out my favorite products and steps. *Disclaimer* I am not a make-up artist, these products and steps are what work best for me *

First Step -> Smashbox photo finish foundation primer $10-49. This silicone based translucent product goes on the skin like silk, blurs imperfections and minimizes pores. Need i say anymore?! Step Two -> Make- Up Forever Water Blend Face & Body Foundation $43. I was a huge fan of the previous water based formula by Make-up forever called Face & Body. If you were a fan of the face & body foundation, you would have noticed that this product was off the selves for some time, before MUF introduced the new Water Blend formula. This new formula has a gel like consistency, while maintaining the lightweight water proof finish that was loved in the previous formula. This foundation is lightweight and waterproof, which is great for oily skin tones, when make-up transfer can be a problem If you are new to water based foundations i recommend going to Sephora and asking for a sample Step Three -> NYX cosmetic Hi Definition Concealer wand $4.99. The best affordable concealer ever. This is of course my opinion, but i am already on my third tub which is a rarity for me. This formula is thick but very malleable once on the skin. I use this as an under eye concealer and it completely covers my dark circles. At $4.99 you can not go wrong with the price and the product. Step Four -> Make-Up Forever Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose powder $20-$36. Like the Sephora primer this finishing powder is silicone based and blurs the appearance of pores and fine lines. This loose powder keeps the skin matte and photo ready, perfect for oily skin. Step Five -> BareMinerals Mineral Veil $22. This translucent powder is knows for delivering a perfect glowy finishing touch. This is a tinted product, but not offensively tinted where it alters your foundation color. I have used this for years and no matter what foundation i am wearing it always seems to compliment the overall appearance of my skin. Final Step -> Urban Decay All Nighter Long lasting Make-Up setting spray $15-40. I never thought setting sprays were an important step in my make-up routine. Once i tried a sample size i became a believer. This setting spray is the best (i have tried other affordable brands, and none came close to Urban Decays setting sprays) and it is a game changer in prolonging your makeup throughout the day, especially as the weather warms. Another important factor is how much product is sprayed, this is a misting product so you get the right amount on your face without ruining your make-up. This setting spray is available at Sephora in a sample size, which is great for trying this product without committing to a full size bottle .
